Hendrik Wüst prepared North Rhine-Westphalia to take in many refugees from the Ukraine. The federal state named concrete help – also for its own population.
Düsseldorf – The Ukraine war* is still not coming to an end in a timely manner, which is why more and more people are fleeing to other European countries such as Germany. North Rhine-Westphalia* is therefore preparing to continue to take in many refugees in the coming days and weeks. Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst* presented in a special session of the NRW state parliament* the further aid for Ukraine and the concrete action of the state government* – whereby he also quoted ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel.
24RHEIN* explains how Hendrik Wüst refers to Angela Merkel with the sentence "We can do it".
The state of North Rhine-Westphalia not only wants to support the municipalities financially, but also wants to take in more refugees from the Ukraine. The state accommodations are to be expanded to 25,000 places. Wüst also appealed to the people of North Rhine-Westphalia to support the many aid initiatives for war refugees from Ukraine. Above all, monetary donations would help, said the CDU* politician. (os) * 24RHEIN is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA
