The persistent heat is causing severe drought throughout Germany. River levels are reaching lows that people in the Southwest are sweating. Then the announced rain comes at the right time. For weather expert Dominik Jung, however, the weather forecast of true floods of rain in the coming days coupled with the dry soil is a “dangerous combination” – then there could be a risk of flooding. And the next heat wave is already on the horizon in Baden-Württemberg and Germany.
