The current Guinness Record for the deepest pool in the world corresponds to the so-called Y-40 The Deep Joy . It is located on the premises of the Hotel Terme Millepini, near the Italian city of Padua, and was designed by the architect Emanuele Boaretto.
Officially inaugurated on June 5, 2014, it measures 42 meters deep , although it is not uniform throughout the structure.
The pool is 21 meters long and 18 meters wide , and contains a volume of around 4.3 million liters of water , which is kept at an almost constant temperature between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius .
The Y-40 thus surpassed the pool Nemo 33, the previous holder of the record . This is located in Brussels (Belgium) and is 33 meters deep, a depth equivalent to the height of an 11-storey building. It contains 2.5 million liters of water. This spectacular pool has five different floors, which help divers to carry out their dives in a staggered way. Although you can go snooping, the facility is only used by expert or neophyte divers who do their training here. As diving in with an oxygen bottle is very taxing, nothing better than recharging your strength in the great restaurant in the super-pool, which is 10 meters deep.
