At the sexual level, it is assumed that the man gives more importance to the visual stimuli and the woman, to the erotic environment. It is also said that they are equally stimulated by the vision of a heterosexual affair and that of two women, although for many scientists this reaction contains a powerful cultural component. There are experiments that reveal that both sexes are aroused in much the same way when watching a libidinal act. Some studies go further and reveal that the degree of male eroticization is similar to any erotic encounter, including that of two men.
Scientist David Loftus, author of Watching Sex , measured the chemical and muscular reaction of several volunteers to different pornographic images and concluded that it had nothing to do with the sexual identification of the observed subjects. In fact, straight men were very aroused by gay relationships.
