Frankfurt – Wolf-Dieter Poschmann is dead. The long-time presenter of the ZDF sports studio Wolf-Dieter Poschmann died last Friday at the age of 70 in Mainz after a short, serious illness. The ZDF * announced on Monday.
“For over 30 years he was one of the defining faces and one of the memorable voices in many sports programs in the Second”, ZDF editor-in-chief paid tribute to the athletics experts. For decades, Poschmann was part of the regular ZDF line-up at major events such as the Olympic Games, World Cup and European Championships, and World Championships and Athletics Championships.
