Bochum – After a collision between three cars after driving the wrong way on Autobahn 40 between Gelsenkirchen and Bochum in North Rhine-Westphalia, two people died.
The wrong-way driver took off the morning after the collision with her car and landed in the oncoming lane, a police spokeswoman said. A man from one of the two captured cars died, the other driver was seriously injured. It is not yet clear why the woman drove on the wrong side.
The A40 was temporarily blocked in both directions between Bochum and Essen. Traffic jams formed. dpa
