Mönchengladbach – A 15-year-old girl was attacked with a knife by an 18-year-old during a meeting in Mönchengladbach and was seriously injured.
According to the victim, the two teenagers agreed to meet on Sunday morning via messenger, the police said. Accordingly, the young man stabbed several times suddenly after he had pressured the girl and asked him to stop. Then he fled. A witness reportedly called the police. The 15-year-old was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old was arrested in a hospital during the manhunt for the perpetrator, in which, according to the police, a helicopter was also used. Apparently he had injured himself and wanted treatment. The reasons for the act were initially unclear. Due to the attempted homicide, the police have set up a homicide commission. dpa
