Oranienburg – The lifeless body of a 26-year-old was found in a bunker in a forest near Oranienburg in Brandenburg.
The woman had been missing since Saturday, the North Police Department announced on Tuesday. The Neuruppin public prosecutor assumes that the woman was the victim of a crime. "The external signs strongly indicate a homicide," said spokesman Torsten Sauermann of the German press agency.
Assembly workers who wanted to see the bunker complex discovered the body late on Monday evening and alerted the police. The facility is hidden in the forest and overgrown with moss. According to the public prosecutor's office, the woman was last seen last Thursday. Forensic medicine is supposed to examine the woman's body on Wednesday. It is still unclear whether the deceased died in the facility. dpa
