There is no doubt that ‘The Squid Game’ , available on Netflix ‘for a few weeks now, is becoming one of the series of the year. Around the world an authentic mass phenomenon has been mounted that fervently follow the characters of the series and their own plot.

After hearing news about many students who play one of the tests of the Korean series, a hotel in the Asian country has seen a real reef in the Netflix series, and has organized its first Royal Squid Game.

The series is already one of the most viewed in history on the platform, surpassing 11 million views in its release time and the second installment is expected to be available soon.

Real ‘Squid Game’

The idea came from the St. John Hotel in the Gangneung region . Through his profile on the social network Instagram, he summoned everyone who wanted to attend the first installment of this, almost experiment, real based on the Korean series.

To participate in the event, which will take place on October 24, 500 candidates are requested who will have to appear in a pine forest near the hotel itself. These first entrants must complete an application and pay a fee of 10,000 won (7.27 euros) in order to obtain their entry number. When they are registered, they will receive a phone number to call and will be given the first instructions.

Once accepted, they will become part of the real ‘Squid Game’ that the hotel has prepared and will be eligible to win 5 million wuons , about 3,600 euros. It is not the same award as in the series, but also, obviously, they say that none of them will suffer any physical damage.

Unlike the series, the participants will face four tests, all of them classic childhood games such as: English hide and seek, tug of war, the cookie test and the slapping tournament.

As those responsible for organizing the real ‘The Squid Game’ explain, there will be no physical harm to any of the participants and, of course, no one will die when they lose any of the tests.

As a curiosity, in order not to dispute with the copyright issues of the series, the name chosen for has been The Holy Games.
