At the moment the operating system is in beta, that is, in development tests. Even so, the company showed some of the most important news that the final version will include and the developers who are testing the version have also found several important news.

1. Universal clipboard
An especially useful feature for those of us who have several Apple devices and use them regularly. Until now, if we copied a text on the iPhone and we wanted to use it on our Mac, we had to send it by email or similar. With this new function we can simply copy a text and use it directly on other devices that use the same iCloud account.
This feature enhances the integration of Apple’s product ecosystem and helps us improve our productivity when working with multiple teams.
2. Smarter virtual keyboard
The iOS virtual keyboard includes a feature called QuickType. Thanks to it, the keyboard is able to recommend words that it thinks we are going to write. In iOS 10, artificial intelligence improves and the recommendations will be more accurate when taking into account the context. For example, in a conversation through QuickType Messages, it will take into account the person we are talking to, the conversation history, etc, etc …
It is important to mention at this point that Apple does not collect data from its users . This artificial intelligence works exclusively on devices, so we can rest assured that the company does not play with our data.
3. Possibility of “deleting” the native apps that iOS includes
This is a highly anticipated feature by a lot of users and in the end we have it with us. iOS 10 will allow us to eliminate some of the native apps that the default operating system includes.
For example, we can eliminate the Mail application if we use an alternative such as the Gmail app and thus it will not be disturbing the home screen.
This is a long-awaited novelty, although the negative part is that the apps are not really completely erased and it allows us to recover storage space (see the next point if you are especially interested in this topic), but the icon is simply hidden.
4. More free space on devices
Storage space on mobile devices is extremely important and Apple has taken this into account when developing the operating system. iOS 10 takes up less than previous versions and by installing it we can recover valuable space to fill it with our photos, videos, apps or any other content.
In addition, the new version of the OS also has functions to optimize the available space according to our needs.
5. Siri, Maps and Messages open to developers
Time will tell us if this is good news or not, but in principle it seems that it will be a great news. Siri, Maps and Messages are open to developers and this means that the integration between these Apple services and third-party apps will be possible.
Thanks to this we can, for example, use Siri to execute tasks in the apps that integrate it or see more information within the native Maps app of our Apple devices.
6. iMessages greatly improves!
Possibly iMessages is one of the applications that will include the most improvements in iOS 10. The Cupertino firm has wanted to enhance its messaging service and has done it in style.
Among the new features we find the possibility of sending Stickers to our contacts, emojis three times larger, animations in the speech bubbles and even full-screen animations to give great news and impact our interlocutor.
In addition to all this, the application will also have its own App Store from which we can download different add-ons and bots. Thanks to this, the possibilities multiply and everything will depend on what the developers publish.
7. Photos will allow us to better organize our memories
The Photos app is also vastly improved and includes new features that were previously limited to more powerful apps like iPhoto.
The main novelty of the application has been baptized as Moments . This function automatically groups our photos and videos and organizes them so that we can easily remember each experience. Furthermore, it is also possible to generate a video montage with these contents almost automatically.
But this is not all, Photos will also allow us to group the photos of each person thanks to facial identification and also by the location in which we were when taking the image.
These are some of the most important news coming to iOS 10 when the final version is available. Something that will surely happen sometime between the end of September and the beginning of October.
