Summer is here and, like every year, the Starlite Gala opens its doors in Marbella . For twelve seasons, Ford Spain has been in charge of the mobility and transport of the protagonists of the event. Its increasingly efficient cars have been chosen to show the way to electrification and there is no better example of this than the new Ford Mustang Mach-E. The 100% American electric SUV has been the ambassador of this solidarity event together with Antonio Banderas . The Spanish actor arrived at the wheel of this model to act, once again, as godfather and representative of the collaboration between the firm and Starlite . A union that becomes a reality in this gala and the Lágrimas y Favores festival, an event that has featured a dance number from the Soho Theater.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E represents the idea of freedom, progress, dynamism and revolution that has so characterized the models with a pony on their grille. This time there was no need for a grill, since it is a 100% electric model with up to 600 kilometers of autonomy. Those interested in a Mach-E can choose between four variants, depending on the battery and the chosen traction, ranging from 269 hp to 487 hp and from 400 kilometers to 610 km of autonomy . Of course, all of them are identical in dimensions, with 4.71 meters long by 1.88 m wide and 1.59 m high , with a wheelbase of 2.98 m and 483 liters of luggage compartment capacity. Its price starts at 48,473 euros for the rear-wheel drive model and 76 kWh battery.
The Mach-E on the Stalite
The Starlite Gala was born in 2010 with the intention of raising funds for charitable causes, a brand philosophy that it has shared for twelve years with Ford as a mobility partner. Antonio Banderas and Sandra García-Sanjuán have been the hosts of this latest gala, which is always in charge of bringing together the national and international stars present in Marbella during the summer. María Casado, the master of ceremonies, gave way to the Madrid actor, who took the opportunity to highlight “Ford’s strong bond with a charity event such as the Starlite Gala since its first edition.”
He also wanted to remember how Starlite’s solidarity drive served to “contribute 53,000 euros to make sanitary materials and promote research on respirators,” said Antonio Banderas during the event. “In those hard times I remembered how important these summer nights were,” Banderas pointed out. On behalf of Ford, Cristina del Rey, Director of Communication of Ford Spain and Antonio Chicote, Manager of Communication of Ford Spain were present.
This latest edition of the Starlite Gala was presented by Valeria Mazza and was attended by artists of international and national caliber such as Marta Sánchez, José Mercé and Juan Peña . As every year, the red carpet has also been news, with the visit of well-known faces such as José Mota, Santiago Segura, Remedios Cervantes or Manolo Caro . An ideal evening to remember and reward the philanthropic efforts of other protagonists such as Paloma Cuevas, Rosa Clará, Bertín Osborne, Javier Banderas , Iván Mañero, Susanna Griso and Georgina Rodríguez.
