With more than 2 billion active users, WhatsApp can boast of being the most used instant messaging application in the world. One of the big reasons for its success is that it is constantly updating and releasing new features that make our lives a little easier. Now, as published by ‘WaBetaInfo’, WhatsApp is working in “disappear mode” .
The app already has a disappearing messages mode. When activated, after seven days, messages are deleted forever. However, it is a feature that still has many improvements. One of those that will arrive in a short time is the extension of the deadlines for the messages to disappear, reaching 90 days, nothing more and nothing less .
Now, the most important thing of all is the new “disappear mode” that will allow us to activate the default function for all new chats. It seems to be already in the code for version 2.2.21.18.7 for Android, so it could come true very soon.
WhatsApp “Disappear Mode”: How does it work?
Once the new function is launched, we will have the possibility to activate the “disappear mode” of the messages by default . To do this, we will go to the “Settings” of WhatsApp.
In this way, all the new chats that we open in the application will be activated with the “disappear mode” by default . We will not have to activate the function individually to each chat as it happens now. Therefore, all the messages that we send to our contacts will be deleted within the period of time that we have indicated, which may be up to 90 days.
But will the other person know that we are chatting with them with “disappear mode” turned on? Yes. A bubble will open to her in the chat where she will be informed that it works with messages that disappear in a predetermined period by default .
Changes to the playback of voice memos
Another novelty that will arrive in WhatsApp in 2021 is the new design of voice notes. Waves will appear in which you can see the intensity of the message, in the same way as in private Instagram messages. Now, the app’s playback control button will remain to start or stop the audio.
NEWS: WhatsApp is working on voice waveforms for your messages!
They fixed several bugs and it will be finally possible to seek! This feature will be available in a future update, on WhatsApp beta for iOS and Android!
