She could one day become the first reigning queen of Belgium. First of all, however, Elizabeth, heir to the throne, began her studies in Oxford.
Brussels – The Belgian heir to the throne Elisabeth started studying at Oxford University. The royal family published pictures of the 19-year-old princess on Monday, which she shows in the English university town. She is studying history and politics after passing the entrance exam for the three-year course.
The photos, taken a few days ago, show the princess in well-known locations in the student town such as the Lincoln College library and on a boat trip on the Cherwell River.
Elisabeth is the eldest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde. She would be the first reigning queen of Belgium. Elisabeth had already studied in Wales between 2018 and 2020. This was followed by a one-year training at the Royal Military Academy in Belgium. dpa
