Who will show / broadcast Formula 1 live on TV and livestream in the 2021 season?

The new Formula 1 season with Mick Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Co. is imminent. At SPOX you can find out how to watch the races live on TV and live stream.

Who will show / broadcast Formula 1 live on TV and livestream in the 2021 season?

After the private broadcaster RTL had shown all of the Formula 1 races on free television in the past, the Cologne channel has actually stopped broadcasting races after 30 years.

Although the exclusive partnership has expired, thanks to an agreement with Sky , RTL is still showing four races live in full length:

  • April 18th: Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna in Imola
  • May 9th: Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona
  • September 12th: Italian Grand Prix in Monza
  • November 7th: Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo

For the four races you can also use the paid live stream via TVNOW. The subscription costs you 4.95 euros per month after the free trial month has expired.

All races of the Formula 1 season 2021, on the other hand, will only be broadcast by Sky on TV. The pay broadcaster also launched its own channel via Sky Sport F1. This is included in the Sky Sport package available for 17.50 euros per month.

In addition to the races, Sky also offers all training sessions, qualifying sessions and background reports. With SkyGo and the paid SkyTicket you can also be there via livestream.

In addition, the Austrian broadcasters ORF and ServusTV offer live reports that many German households can receive via satellite and mostly even with a cable connection. The broadcasters each have twelve races in their program. Both channels will broadcast the Grand Prix in Spielberg, Austria. In Switzerland, SRF shows all races and qualifying sessions live.

In addition, you can watch all the races on Formula 1’s in-house streaming channel, F1TV. This service is also chargeable.
