Man in England admits murders and desecrations

A 67-year-old in England pleaded guilty to killing two young women over 30 years ago. Other shocking acts of the man were also discussed in court.

Maidstone – He was arrested on suspicion of murder, but then many more shocking acts came to light: A man in England has confessed to dozen cases of necrophilia in addition to two murders of young women.

As the police in the county of Kent announced, the 67-year-old pleaded guilty in court in the southeast English city of Maidstone to have murdered two young women more than 30 years ago and to have assaulted the bodies of many other women and girls.

After the investigators had been in the dark for decades, an extensive DNA test finally led them to the man last year. Now they presented evidence of the homicides and many other shocking acts. A judgment is still pending.

The man admitted killing the two women, then 20 and 25, in 1987. He also confessed to having abused the bodies of deceased women and girls in dozens of cases in the morgues of two hospitals where he had worked as an electrician for years.

The man had recorded his necrophilic acts on video and hid them in his house. For this, too, he has to answer in court. Several external hard drives were uncovered during the searches following his arrest. The police assume about 100 abused bodies of dead women and girls, 81 of which they were able to identify by name. Some of them were minors when they died. The bodies of the two murdered women also showed signs of sexual abuse.

Regarding the murder of the two women, Chief Investigator Ivan Beasley said: “We have always refused to accept that their killer would escape justice and it was only a matter of time before advances in DNA profiling gave us answers to identify a suspect. ”The evidence presented had now shown“ without the slightest doubt ”that the suspect was guilty, it said in a statement published on Thursday. dpa
