The emotional words of Anna Ortiz, Iniesta's wife, to "her star", the baby she lost in her eighth month of pregnancy

I don’t want to imagine what a heartbreaking pain it must be to lose a child. Every time I talk to any of you, mothers who have had to go through the death of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth, I perceive your pain and the immense love that this little person awakens in you when you remember her.

With Anna Ortiz, the wife of soccer player Andrés Iniesta, I have discovered something else: that not all mothers have the strength at all times to remind their baby, that you have to be prepared.

This is how she explains it in an emotional message on her Instagram account on the six-year anniversary of the death of her unborn child in the eighth month of pregnancy : “Today I feel strong to talk about you and for you. How much you taught us during those 8 months ” .

“Thanks for taking care of us”

Over the years, parents learn to live with the loss and even turn it into something positive. This is what Anna and Iniesta seem to have done, because they have managed to create a great family.

Valeria, who is now eight years old, was surely a great support to her parents when her brother passed away. Then came Paolo Andrea, four years old and Siena, two. And finally Romeo, who was born last June.

Now, six years after having lost her baby and with her four children, Anna wanted to dedicate some beautiful words to that son who taught them “what life means, to value it and enjoy it”.

“Today I feel strong to talk about you and for you.

How much you taught us during those 8 months.

8 months of unconditional love, hope and illusion … but also fear and uncertainty.

Together with you we learned that the road is never easy … and that it is worth all the effort; Although the storm fell that March 7, 2014.

Today I know your way here; with us; it must be that. And I feel relieved and happy about it.

You made mom and dad indestructible and brought us closer together, thanks to the immense love you give off.

You taught us what LIFE means; to value it and enjoy it.

We discover that the sun shines again with the arrival of Paolo Andrea, Siena and Romeo.

Today and every day I thank you for taking care of us, because I feel that way.

Dad, Mom, Valeria, Paolo Andrea, Siena and Romeo

The FOMO effect (Fear Of Missing Out) is defined as "the fear of missing something". And although it is a concept that has become relevant in recent years, it is nothing new. In the late 1990s, Dr. Dan Herman coined this term.

We live surrounded by technology and it is inevitable that this will be incorporated as one more tool in parenting. In addition to apps that help with things ranging from designing your baby's room to managing the calendar of children with separated parents, devices such as tablets, mobile phones or smart speakers are here to stay. Proof of this is the growing use of Alexa as a timer that children obey without question (or at least without protesting as much as their mother).

When they enter the stage of adolescence, there are many boys and girls who can become dramatic in situations that, for parents, do not have the same degree of importance. Thus, in day-to-day situations, they feel that the world is ending, or they live everything with great intensity.
