A few decades have passed since the lion’s signature first crossed the finish line of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans and now, with electrification as a paragon, Peugeot returns to resistance. There is less left to see this racing car in action and, little by little, the French have been revealing some key details such as its hybrid propulsion with a 2.6-liter V6 biturbo combustion engine that reaches 680 hp . This is located in the rear, next to a 270 hp (200 kW) electric motor (also generator) in the front.
Beyond its hybrid technology, which is common in the last 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Peugeot 9×8 surprises with its exterior design. Some of his bets were, to say the least, risky. An example of this is the absence of the rear spoiler , which no longer depends on the homologation as before and which recovers a figure that we saw in the 70’s of the resistance .
