Motherhood is full of wonderful, shocking and so highly emotional moments that they remain forever engraved on the retina and the heart.
Although each mother will have her own ‘box of memories’, I am sure that all of us mothers who have more than one child agree that the quintessential special moment is when we see our children together for the first time .
It is a magical moment, incredible and so moving that it is difficult to match. A fleeting and extraordinary moment in which you become aware for the first time of the exciting path that you start as a family.
feelings of a mother

In general, the second pregnancy is experienced with mixed feelings.
On the one hand, the emotion and joy of knowing that you are giving your child the best gift: a brother. But on the other hand, it is also common to feel guilty, since the time you spend with your little one will soon cease to be exclusive.
As your due date approaches, this tidal wave of emotions will become more and more intense , and you may even shed a few tears when you hug your firstborn for the last time before becoming a mother of two.
To begin with, you will feel that your oldest child (your until then “baby”) has suddenly grown up. It doesn’t matter if he’s two years old, six or ten; the fact is that overnight you will find it giant.
So much so, that it will be really shocking to see him next to the newborn , and you will feel the irrepressible need to snuggle him with all your might on your lap, while you wonder in a loop “at what point did he hit such a growth spurt”.

After the initial shock of seeing them together, you will begin to be aware of the wonderful gift of life that you have given your children . And it is that despite the difficulties that will most likely arise at the beginning, as well as the complexities that bi-motherhood brings with it, having a brother is having a treasure .
As a mother of three children, I feel truly privileged to have lived this moment twice, because each baby that is born and each new presentation to their siblings is an emotional and unrepeatable event that will remain engraved in the heart forever.
Not in vain, when I have a bad day and I feel like I can lose my temper with my children, remembering these moments restores my calm, gives me light and nourishes my soul as if it were a magical elixir.
Something similar happens to my children , because although due to their young age they do not remember the exact moment in which they met their siblings for the first time, checking on home videos how their reaction was, the sparkle of illusion that their eyes gave off and the tenderness with which they caressed each other helps them connect with each other and value the wonderful gift of being close.
