As Enzo Ferrari , the creator of the car firm, put it, "The story of the rampant horse is simple and fascinating." The horse was painted on the fuselage of the fighter plane piloted by Francesco Baracca , an Italian hero of the First World War who, after dozens of victories, was killed in the municipality of Montello. In 1923, Ferrari won the first Savio circuit, in Ravenna , and there he met Count Enrico Baracca, father of the illustrious aviator, and later his mother, Countess Paolina Biancoli. She asked him to use her son's horse as a badge for his cars, assuring him that it would bring him luck. Ferrari listened to him and kept the original black color of the animal, to which he added a yellow background, representative of Modena, his hometown.
And it is that the horse brand, founded in 1929 and dedicated to making racing cars, began after a few years to also create super sports models for all audiences. Thanks to its successes in racing with impressive engines, state-of-the-art aerodynamic systems and the highest technology in the automotive world , Ferrari is one of the most spectacular car brands, with a reputation earned throughout the years. The dream of more than one fan is to drive a Ferrari "macchina".
