The MotoGP World Championship is already warming up for its start this weekend in Qatar. The teams are finalizing the set-up of the bikes for the first grand prix of the season, where Marc Márquez will not race. The ilerdense announced this Tuesday his withdrawal for the first two races of the championship that are held at the Losail circuit, and everything indicates that his return will be in Portugal on April 18. Without him, Joan Mir is the main favorite to revalidate the title. Despite the fact that the Honda is out the first two races, he is still a clear candidate to win the World Championship, although everything will depend on whether he is one hundred percent when he returns. Meanwhile the rival to beat will be the Majorcan Suzuki rider, current champion. Betting sees him as the big favorite, closely followed by Jack Miller. The Australian from Ducati has made the leap to the factory team this season and is a candidate for his first World Championship in the premier class, another of the favorites is Fabio Quartararo. El Diablo is called to be one of the greats in MotoGP. Last year he was already the great candidate to fight with Marc Márquez, after what he had seen in the last races of the previous season. However his campaign was a failure and he finished eighth overall. Unlike in recent years, this course will run with an official Yamaha and not with Petronas. His teammate, Maverick Viñales, also aspires to be in the fight. Nor should we forget the two drivers who completed the overall podium with Mir, Franco Morbidelli and Álex Rins. The Italian had a great season finale that allowed him to become runner-up in the MotoGP world with a satellite. This year he will have as a companion a true motorcycle legend such as Valentino Rossi, who has seven titles of the premier category in his record, a little further from these six candidates are Pol Espargaró and Pecco Bagnaia. The youngest of the Espargaró brothers starts a new adventure at Honda with Márquez. His signing for the Japanese team puts him in the championship pools, although the bets do not trust much that the Catalan can finish in the highest or among the top five. Everything indicates that the title will be between Mir, Miller, Quartararo, Rins, Morbidelli and Márquez, if it does not reappear very late.
