In this state, the atoms are positively charged and share space with negatively charged free electrons. Plasma has the ability to conduct electricity and interacts with magnetic and electric fields.
Plasma does not have a defined shape but, under the influence of a magnetic field, it is capable of forming structures such as filaments, rays and double layers. Among the areas in which plasma can find application are modern astrophysics , space physics, gas discharges, controlled thermonuclear fusion or gas lasers.
