Nacho earns a place on Luis Enrique's list for Euro 2020 | Spain

Nacho Fernández will be one more name on Luis Enrique’s list for the European Championship this summer. The Real Madrid footballer will be present at the call that the Asturian coach will offer on May 27 after the excellent performance offered during the final stretch of the season. Faced with the multiple absences in the Madrid defense, the youth squad took a step forward that has served him to win, in all fairness, a place on the list of the Spanish team. The Real Madrid center-back is one of the fittest Spanish defenders . For this reason, his inclusion in the Spanish call-up is not surprising and could even be one of the favorites to start at the European Championship. With Sergio Ramos among cottons, Nacho Fernández is one of the most important alternatives that Luis Enrique manages for the starting position along with others such as Laporte, Pau Torres or Eric García, who will also be on the list. It was not being a great season for Nacho Fernández until the casualties forced Zinedine Zidane to pull him. The center-back had been in the shadow of Sergio Ramos and Varane during the first part of the season, but the Andalusian’s continuous injuries and the Frenchman’s positive for coronavirus forced him to form an unprecedented pair of centrals in the final stretch of the season: the one formed by Nacho and Militao. Two men who have offered a spectacular level despite facing rivals such as Liverpool, Chelsea or Barcelona, among others. According to the Jugones program of La Sexta, Luis Enrique will summon Nacho and Sergio Ramos on May 27 for the European Championship. The Asturian coach will trust the Madrid central defender who has not been called up for Spain for a long time.Although he had lost prominence in his team and consequently with his national team, his end of the campaign has changed everything and he will reach the European Championship as one of the fittest Spanish defenders.
