The first hair-drying machine appeared in France in 1890 , in the salon of its creator, Alexandre Godefoy . In reality, it was a vacuum cleaner adapted to reverse its result. The air pump in the vacuum cleaner creates a vacuum that absorbs the dust, and the movement of the motor heats the gases inside. Godefoy removed the tube from the inlet and placed it on the hot air outlet. The electric dryer was born.
But these gadgets didn't become popular until 1920, with smaller gadgets consisting of a fan and a resistor that heated the air. In the 1930s, helmet dryers invaded hair salons, but their gases spoiled the hair. In the mid-1950s, Bakelite cases broke into the world of aesthetics and hand dryers finally appeared.
