Can a dead star be resurrected?

When a massive star uses up all nuclear fuel, it explodes with monstrous energy, expelling more than half of itself in a fraction of seconds. This is how a supernova is born, which for a short time can emit more energy than an entire galaxy. After the explosion, the collapsed stellar core, due to the tremendous gravitational forces, turns into a neutron star. Astrophysicists believed that nuclear reactions did not occur in these stellar corpses. However, a group of astrophysicists from the University of Chicago has detected, thanks to the Rossi space satellite, a violent explosion in the bowels of the neutron star known as 4U 1820-30 , which is located 20,000 light years from Earth.
