As a study carried out by evolutionary biologists at the Australian National University has just shown, heterosexual women are more sexually attracted to men with large penises . Details are published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).
However, in addition to the size of the penis, women also take into account height and pronounced masculine shapes, specifically the ratio between the width of the waist and that of the shoulders. Thus, as the study mentions, penis size would have "a stronger effect on attractiveness in tall men than in short men." Research also suggests that the penis size that could be considered the most sexually attractive for women is around 13 centimeters relaxed.
Brian S. Mautz, co-author of the study, suspects that these female preferences are responsible, also present in prehistoric women, that the measurements of the human penis are currently larger with respect to body size than in the rest of the primates. In other words, the selection prior to copulation of couples with large penises by prehistoric women – at a time when clothing was not used – would have favored the increase in the size of the genitalia in our species in the course of of evolution .
