Hands could say more about their owners than we think, especially in the case of men. According to a Korean study published in the Asian Journal of Andrology , men whose index fingers are shorter than their ring fingers may have longer penises.
Previous studies have shown strong evidence that prenatal testosterone could determine finger development as well as genital size. In a study of 144 men who suffered from urological problems that did not affect the length of their penis, which were measured under anesthesia, the measurements were compared with the difference in length between their index and ring fingers on the right hand. Thus it was found that the lower the ratio or relative length, the longer the penis tends to be, suggests the study led by Tae Beom Kim. Female index and ring fingers tend to be roughly the same size.
Last year, a study from the University of Warwick (UK) revealed that men with long index fingers had a lower risk of prostate cancer.
