How to set up a second Google account and how to use it easily

There are people who use a single email account for practically everything. While others prefer to have the email account they use for work separately, and differentiate it from the one they commonly use for their leisure and personal enjoyment.

The truth is that a Google account offers us the possibility of accessing an interesting number of applications , among which is not only the email of the popular search engine (Gmail), but also enjoying cloud storage, different productivity tools , maps, music, movies and much more.

But we don’t have to settle for just one account, especially if we already have one for work or just want a second one for our personal use. We explain how you can easily configure it and integrate it into your day to day.

Setting up a second Google account

As with the steps we follow when creating our first account, in this step it is essential to provide Google with certain personal information, as well as a phone number. Although now the company offers us two possibilities: create a new account for personal use, or to manage a company.

Then, Google will show us some suggestions about the name that we could put to our new account (remember that it will also work as the Gmail address). Of course, depending on the name we add, we can choose other options if we prefer.

Then it will ask us for a date of birth, password, our gender, an alternative email address that serves as a backup, and a phone number where we can verify our account. Once our mobile phone is confirmed we will have to add the code that has come to us in the form of a text message, and we will access a new screen where Google asks us if we want to add our phone to make / receive video calls and messages, among other functions.

To finish, we will only have to accept the terms and conditions, and finally we will be able to access the main home page of our Google Account. From that moment on, we can add our previous account directly through this page. To do this, we will have to click on the icon that you will find in the upper right part, and click on Add another account. From that moment on, a new page will open, this time with the typical Google Login dialog.
