BMW Titan: the motorcycle that Batman would like to have

The BMW Titan Concept is a futuristic motorcycle prototype devised by Istanbul-based industrial designer Mehmet Doruk Erdem, and, for its aesthetics, it would undoubtedly be the kind of transport that the protector of Gotham City would like to add to his Batcave vehicle fleet.

Its creator qualifies it as a “personal design” and explains that it is designed to travel the Salar de Bonneville – a 260-square-kilometer salt desert located in Utah (United States) -. His goal was to design it with such downforce as to allow it to reach high speeds .

As can be seen in the images of this concept bike , it lifts very little off the ground and has a faired front wheel, as well as a large rear wheel. In between, a seat that forces the driver to lean very forward, practically lying down, as a competition pilot would.

Mehmet Doruk Erdem has been inspired by the celebrations that BMW has organized this year on the occasion of its centenary and in which, in addition to taking a look at its 100 years of history, the German brand has presented its vision of the future through several futuristic prototypes – like, for example, the BMW Vision Next 100 – .

In reality, the BMW Titan Concept almost looks more like an artistic exercise than a feat of engineering – in fact, its designer has not offered technical data or features to make us believe in its feasibility. But who knows? Perhaps, at least as far as aesthetics are concerned, mark the lines to be followed by manufacturers such as BMW itself in the future.
