The essence of Citroën has always been close to ordinary people, those who do not have buoyant accounts but still dream of inhospitable adventures and unique experiences. The Citroën ë-Jumpy is one more demonstration of that philosophy, aware of its working-class tradition despite its new expectations focused on a cleaner, healthier and more achievable world for all. This zero emissions van, ideal to meet the current e-commerce boom, has been developed with the intention of reaching both the citizen of an inhabited city and the neighbor of a small rural town. A strategy that has earned it the leadership of the segment with 16.8% of the market share in 2020 , something that places the Jumpy with more than 800,000 units since its launch in 1995.
The goal of electrifying Citroën’s range of commercial vehicles, set for 2021, coincides with the emergence of new anti-pollution protocols and the unexpected urgency of online shopping. However, the signature of the chevron does not join the car without a sense, they want to go further in their connection with the common people. For this reason, the firm has launched a special presentation where they exist, linking its carrying capacities with the most supportive side by collaborating with the NGO Messengers of Peace .
As journalists, we were able to test the dynamic capabilities of the van and, in turn, be part of a project as vital and essential as the distribution of food next to the Church of San Antón (Madrid). Thanks to its DGT zero label, the ë-Jumpy was able to take over the necessary assistance for nearly 300 people from the city center. “The solidarity basket of San Antón continues to be filled every day thanks to many companies that, like Citröen, are excited to help those who need it most,” said Father Ángel, founder of the NGO. A contribution that was not small if we take into account the 1,275 kilograms of payload that the ë-Jumpy offers without compromising its stability and poise, something for which reinforcements and stabilizer bars are essential. We will tell you more about this van below.
