The first Citroën C4 dates from 1928 and already at that time it presented innovative ideas for the automotive sector, with interesting powers and top speeds of 90 km / h . Far are those classic figures, wheels of astonishing dimensions and grills that would leave the very BMW 4 Series Coupé at the height of the bitumen. However, the new Citroën C4 maintains many of the aspects and characteristics that drove that first generation, starting with the essence of a versatile, comfortable and dynamic saloon . Times have changed and the climate emergency has stimulated technological evolution in an amazing way, making electrification a reality of the present. As is customary this year in the PSA group, the new Citroën C4 arrives alongside its 100% electric variant : the Citroën C4 ë-C4 . Both are available at dealerships from the firm from 19,300 euros for the 130 hp gasoline option and 30,600 euros for the electric version .
The transition to electric propulsion will be history and, as such, Citroën presents a completely renewed model. The design features are now more minimalist if possible, as well as technological and fluid. The drooping roof line gives it a unique and dynamic silhouette, matching an imposing rear and out of the ordinary if not for the nod to its historic Citroën GS . Personalization will continue to spearhead this model, which leaves behind a youthful and even playful image to mature as the compact SUV segment does. The customer will be able to choose between 31 different combinations, including the 5 Color Packs that include unique touches in the bodywork.
Many of you may have thought: Is the C4 a saloon or an SUV? As the firm comments, this is a new concept of raised bodywork, with strong wheel arches and considerable ground clearance. Many of us will continue to include it in the SUV segment, but its driving is undoubtedly more reminiscent of the cars of yesteryear. We were able to get behind the wheel and these are our first impressions .
