Peugeot Motocycles has transferred to its Pulsion and Metropolis models part of the automotive experience accumulated by the lion’s signature in the form of advanced technological equipment. Peugeot has a rich industrial past that has shaped not only cars and motorcycles. The Peugeot brothers, founders of the company, began their activity by manufacturing bicycles and, even earlier, mills. Born in 1898, Peugeot proudly claims the title of the oldest motorized two-wheel brand in the world . More than 120 years guarantee its trajectory. Now, with the arrival of its latest models, the long-awaited objective of combining in the same vehicle the guarantees of safety, comfort and benefits of a car and the advantages that a motorcycle provides for urban mobility is almost a reality. It can be said that the Peugeot Metropolis and the Peugeot Pulsion compete with four-wheelers or, at least, display technical applications unusual in their category.
Thus, the Peugeot Metropolis three-wheel scooter has, for example, an innovative front and rear camera that, managed from the handlebars, can record video and capture images in Full HD 1080 pixel quality at an angle of 155º.
For its part, the Peugeot Pulsion launches i-Connect technology, considered “the i-Cockpit of motorcycles” , in which you can even manage social networks while still using the motorcycle. In addition, both have ample storage spaces, a windscreen adjustable to different heights, an on-board computer with an LCD screen and practical features such as a hands-free start key. These advances make them the spearhead of Peugeot technology applied to the motorcycle universe.

The technology of the Peugeot Metropolis – in its special version “120 years” – has surprising gadgets capable of turning every journey into an experience. The three-wheeled scooter from the French firm is the only one equipped as standard with a Dash Cam, that is, an integrated camera that records in front of and behind the vehicle. This surprising “ability” not only endows it with an original playful use, but also offers an additional security element in case of mishap during the journey.
Thanks to a control located on the handlebar, the top-of-the-range Peugeot Motocycles model can immortalize places and landscapes on the road and even record movies. And in the event of an incident, the visualization of the audiovisual material ( the recording is automatic when the contact is on) allows to review the facts with exactitude, since the two cameras simultaneously capture the front and rear of the vehicle with Full HD quality. 1080 pixels and a high view with an angle that covers 155 °.
The Peugeot Metropolis is also the only three-wheel scooter on the market to come equipped with Daytime Running Light (DRL) technology. There are five powerful LEDs that activate automatically in the event of an emergency and operate throughout the day if the user so wishes to improve visibility while driving.
Peugeot Pulsion: manage your social networks without getting off the bike
Developed and produced at the Mandeure (France) factory, the new Peugeot Pulsion takes two-wheel connectivity further than any other model in the Urban GT category . The Gallic scooter thus becomes a state-of-the-art connected vehicle. It debuts i-Connect technology, specifically developed by Peugeot Motocycles and inspired by the i-Cockpit of the lion’s signature cars.
Thanks to a mobile application compatible with IOS and Android , and its integrated GPS, it allows the user to plan their journeys and know the state of traffic. An ergonomic swivel wheel built into each side of the handlebar allows the selection and customization of the TFT screen display to give the rider a more instinctive reading of their rides. In addition, the Pulsion allows you to receive calls , SMS and other notifications from social networks in real time on its TFT screen.
As for its lighting technology, it has a light signature reminiscent of the lion’s fangs, which was inaugurated with the new Peugeot 508 saloon from which it is inspired. The Pulsion also sports three rear LED “claws” with a three-dimensional effect, like the four-wheel models from Peugeot. Lit both day and night, this light signature is directly inspired by the Peugeot Instinct concept car.
