The Starlite gala took place on August 11 in Marbella , with luxury hosts: Antonio Banderas and Sandra García-Sanjuán. The event brought together 437 guests, including celebrities from the cultural, social and business fields who did not want to miss the celebration of the most important charity gala in our country, dedicated to philanthropy since its inception in 2010.
The funds from the Starlite gala go to the Fundación Lágrimas y Favores, whose mission is to help train university students and cancer patients, and the Starlite Foundation, whose mission is to improve living conditions, health and promote education. of disadvantaged children, families and communities at risk of exclusion.
The solidarity dinner has once again brought together great national and international stars , with the main objective of supporting different humanitarian projects. Among them, the actor of the series El Cuento de la Maid, Joseph Fiennes; the model and businesswoman Valeria Mazza; singer David Bisbal, presenter Anne Igartiburu; Antonia Dell’Atte; Blanca Cuesta; Borja Thyssen; Eugenia Martínez de Irujo; Fernando Tejero; Loles León; Sara Baras; Pop Magician; Humbertus Von Hohenlohe; Clarissa Alves; Ana Obregón; Boris Izaguirre; Rosa López and Dulceida, among others. All of them, protagonists of a unique evening that, for yet another year, has had the support of Ford Spain as part of its firm commitment to corporate social responsibility activities. In fact, on the part of the firm, were present at the event Jesús Alonso, president and CEO of Ford Spain, and Cristina del Rey, director of Communication of Ford Spain.
In addition, the gala wanted to reward the solidarity efforts of Marta Luisa from Norway, Almudena Fernández and Aritz Aramburu, Carlos Rivera and Diego Torres . The funds raised at the gala are distributed mainly to the Lágrimas y Favores, and Niños en Alegría foundations. This year the I Want Work Foundation joins, which helps women to get a job.
The funds raised in the last nine years amounted to more than two million euros and have been allocated through the Starlite Foundation to causes that have benefited 30,000 children and 150,000 families. This year, the gala has broken its collection record, coinciding with the celebration of its 10th anniversary. And the event has exceeded 600,000 euros, the highest figure since the first edition of 2010, of which Ford was already a part.
