Are you heading to Disneyland Paris? One attraction you don’t want to miss is Ratatouille the Adventure, a ridiculously charming and unique attraction that took Walt Disney Imagineering six years to produce at a reported cost of $ 270 million.
This award-winning ride celebrates the culture and architecture of France and features new animation sequences created by Pixar, especially to bring the characters from Disney’s “Ratatouille” (2007) to life at this attraction.
Ratatouille the adventure
Known in French as Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy (“Remy’s Totally Zany Adventure”), this dark motion-based 4D trackless ride opened in July 2014 at Walt Disney Studios Park, the second of the two theme parks. at Disneyland Paris.
It’s one of the most popular attractions at Disneyland Paris, and it’s available as a FastPass ticket. Like all popular attractions, the lines for this attraction tend to get longer as the day progresses. Do you want to ride without wasting time in a long line? Take a FastPass or go to the park at opening time and go directly to this attraction.
You get in the queue at Gusteau’s restaurant on the Place de Rémy, a Parisian courtyard. Through forced perspective and other techniques, this immersive journey makes you feel like you’ve been reduced to the size of a rat. You wait on the roof of the restaurant and Rémy and Chef Gusteau discuss what food to serve, and as soon as they decide on their plate of ratatouille, their group falls through a swinging panel in the ceiling and ends up on the kitchen floor. A chase begins with cooks in hot pursuit and you and the other rats running for your lives.
After going through the kitchen and dining room, a riot breaks out. In the end, you and your rat friends make it safely to Rémy’s kitchen, where the ratatouille is being prepared. The journey ends with everyone safe and sound at the Bistrot Chez Rémy.
For this trip, the passengers wear 3D glasses and the cars move in a rotating and sliding motion. While the story of the trip is a chaotic chase, keep in mind that the movement on this trip is very smooth. Also, this is a fun ride that’s suitable for all ages, so don’t worry about scary moments or sudden movements. It takes approximately five minutes from boarding to departure.

The square is home to Bistrot Chez Rémy, a table-service restaurant where you can enjoy (of course) a plate of ratatouille, among other authentic French dishes. Also in this place is Chez Marianne, a boutique named as a tribute to the iconic symbol of the French Republic.
Show Studio
The Toon Studio area is similar to Mickey’s Toontown is an area in three other Disney theme parks where guests can experience where Disney characters live and work. Other attractions at Toon Studio include:
