Florida Sex Offender Registry – Megan's Law

Recent legislation requires the state of Florida to make publicly available information about people convicted of sex crimes living in our communities. Sex offenders are required to register with law enforcement and have their addresses and photos posted online. This information can be vital for parents seeking to protect their children from potential danger.

The registry allows you to search Florida’s sex offender database by neighborhood. Just enter your address and zip code and you will receive a complete list of sex offenders in your area.

The information provided includes:

  • Name
  • Current address and map
  • Photography
  • Current status of the offender
  • Source of information

If you select the “View brochure” option for an offender, you will be able to view the following additional information:

  • Date of birth
  • Race
  • Sex
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Scars, Marks and Tattoos
  • Hair color
  • Eye color
  • Qualifying offense

The database contains information on all sex offenders released since 1997, as well as those individuals designated sex offenders by the courts after October 1993.
