Inside Atlanta: Kristen Ledlow, presentadora de “Inside Stuff”

November 11, 2015

We’re back with our Inside Atlanta series: Every week, we sit down with influential locals to talk about what Atlanta means to them. Today we’re chatting with Kristen Ledlow, co-host of “Inside Stuff” on NBA TV along with Grant Hill. Ledlow, who also serves as a full-time Turner Sports personality on networks such as TNT, CNN, and HLN, is known for working alongside Lebron James as host of the Lebron 12 and Lebron 13 shoe launches. You may even recognize her by her ( Unfortunate) Missed free throw contest against NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.

Proud to be a woman in both the world of journalism and sports, Ledlow was the first woman hired by the NBA television network. Today we have a tour of The Big Peach led by Ledlow herself.

I live in… »Midtown, I love it. When my job required me to move from my hometown to Tallahassee 3 years ago, there was no other place that I would have chosen. Atlanta lives in the big city, but it’s still in the south. “

You can find me… «in Philips Arena. If I’m not there to cover the Atlanta Hawks for NBA TV, I’m there to get in on the action as a die-hard NBA fan. Oh, and Justin Timberlake performs there from time to time.

It’s time for dinner, I’m heading to… »Bistro Niko. I love dressing up with a bride and drinking wine on the patio. I also love Bar Taco – laid back atmosphere and great food. And on game nights, you can find me at the Yard House in Atlantic Station. I love grabbing a friend, a few beers and talking about the ball.

The clock strikes 5 o’clock, I’m drinking… «[One of what] looks like hundreds of beers and draft beers at the Yard House in Atlantic Station, my favorite is pineapple beer (especially Thursday night to see the NBA) I also frequented Tin Lizzy’s in Buckhead, with such a fun atmosphere for a date night, girls night, or game night.

If I had to stay in a hotel, I would check into… »the Four Seasons on 14th Street because of the memories of visiting before my move. The location is amazing and the rooms are beautiful! I continue to frequent Bar Margot as one of my favorite places to have a glass of wine with a girlfriend.

Atlanta’s best kept secret is… “It may not be a secret, but there’s nothing like watching a minor league baseball game in good weather. I love driving north to see the Gwinnett Braves.

When I play as a tourist, I go to… “the Georgia Aquarium, as my first career dream was to become a marine biologist. I also love the world of Coca-Cola. And when baseball is in season, I take my visitors to Turner Field to watch the Braves. “

I sweat a lot… “with my coach in Piedmont Park. I also recently started boxing at X-3 Sports. It has become my favorite activity: burning calories while hitting something. Say ah! I also love taking Zumba classes at LA Fitness to shake up my day. As a former college athlete, I loved finding unique ways to stay fit (and competitive!) In Atlanta. “

I love spending my money at… »Atlantic Station. Big brands are available, along with some great boutique stores. The area is perfect for parking, shopping and then having dinner and a movie later in the day.
