TIE Fighter: Total Conversion is the fine-tuning of the 1994 Star Wars classic: new missions, remastered soundtrack and VR support

The galaxy far, far away from Star Wars is a mine for the world of entertainment. The amount of products derived from the first film directed by George Lucas has been immense and video games have not been immune to this tremendous expansion.

Without a doubt, one of the great classics that we have been able to enjoy has been Star Wars: TIE Figther , the work that was released in 1994 by Totally Games. Now a modder has done magic by putting a coat of excellent paint on it with the TIE Fighter: Total Conversion review .

However, surprise! It is not a remake, but a revision from the 1999 X-Wing Alliance sequel. What has been done has been to transfer the visual section of TIE Fighter to its successor and make improvements from its engine.

Therefore, we have a really powerful content, with 13 campaigns consisting of 76 missions and 28 training with all the original voices and dialogue. As a great addition we have 37 new missions and 4 updated training scenarios.

This is because the first 8 TIE Fighter battles have been reinvented, but keeping the general narrative and respecting the key points of the story. This racks up a total of 145 missions along with all the expansions.

Wait, there’s more. The soundtrack has been completely remastered , although you can use the original if you get carried away by nostalgia. In addition, it includes support for VR devices and thus achieve total galactic immersion.

If you want to get hold of this fantastic content, you can do so through this link. You will need to have X-Wing Alliance in your library and you will be able to play without problems.
