Ghostwire: Tokyo won't arrive in 2021: Shinji Mikami's PS5 exclusive will finally be out in early 2022

After the purchase of Bethesda by Microsoft, doubt began to fly over the environment. What would happen to the titles created by the company led by Todd Howard? Specifically two of them, Deathloop, developed by Arkane Studios , and Ghostwire: Tokyo, under the command of Tango Gameworks .

Both works have a temporary exclusivity with PS5, beyond their launch on PC, which will be released this year, except for one of them. The Japanese studio led by Shinji Mikami , father of the Resident Evil saga, has announced that its arrival is postponed until 2022 .

We have made the decision to delay the release of Ghostwire: Tokyo to early 2022.

We want to get the game in your hands as soon as possible so that you can experience the unforgettable version of haunted Tokyo that we have been hard at work on. At the same time, we are also focused on protecting the health of everyone in Tango. Our new release window will give us time to bring the world of Ghostwire to life as we have always envisioned it.

Thank you for being patient in the same way that we work to bring you an experience like we have never done before. We can’t wait to show you more of what’s to come in the coming months.

Therefore, we will have to wait until we can definitely taste this vision of the Japanese capital that has left us so amazed. Ghostwire: Tokyo barely has a gameplay in which we can verify that truly paranormal events are happening throughout the city.

Our task will be to find out the origin of all these problems and put an end to it through different supernatural abilities from a first person perspective . Until now, the game did not have a date for its launch, beyond the promise of 2021 as a reference.
