The Lexus NX is an SUV that, by size, competes in one of the most coveted segments by firms. It does so with the experience and the journey of knowing itself a premium and hybrid SUV, something that many European manufacturers are starting in recent times. The first generation of the NX arrived in 2014 and was slightly updated in 2017 . To face the last years of life of this batch, Toyota’s premium firm has carried out another facelift, which introduces more equipment, more engines and more driving assistants. We talk about it in this article but we could not, until today, talk about the final prices and orders for the Spanish market, which have been opened this week.
The direct rivals of this premium crossover are: its cousin Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and the Hyundai Tucson hybrid. Both are close to the 4.66 meters long Lexus NX, with electrification systems but lower prices. The final dimensions of the new NX are completed with 1.86 meters in width, 1.64 m in height and 2.69 m of battle , making it slightly longer, wider and taller. It has an ideal trunk for families of 555 liters , both for hybrids and PHEV models, which tend to see this capacity affected by the presence of batteries.
Lexus already accepts orders for this SUV, to which the GA-K platform has been retouched to increase its rigidity while reducing the weight of the whole. They have also taken advantage of this update to implement the plug-in hybrid version, which uses the same system as the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in. For the hybrid version there will be five trim levels ( Business, Business City, Executive, FSport and Luxury ) that will remain at three for the PHEV (Executive, FSport and Luxury) . Prices start at 48,500 euros for the NX 350h Business to 75,500 euros for the NX 450h + Luxury , a model that incorporates the latest in driver assistance systems but also technological equipment.
