'FIFA 12' and 'FIFA 13' for Wii: same game with different cover?

When they told us the news, we couldn’t believe it . Come on, it couldn’t be true. Electronic Arts with all its experience in the sector could not be fighting like that to the users of Nintendo Wii. But heck, screenshots start to come in, people commenting on it in the forums and the evidence becomes relevant by itself beyond conspiracy theories. Many users complain that the Wii ‘ FIFA 13′ game is exactly the same ‘ FIFA 12′ that was released last year except for the corresponding squad and wardrobe updates. How do you stay?

The following “screenshots” demonstrate the major visual differences between the two versions. Some very slight menu change, a repositioning of items and … well, that’s it. Everything else seems absolutely identical and although in a soccer game that is renewed annually it is difficult to appreciate very obvious changes (companies try to give sufficient reason to argue a new purchase and thus avoid the ghost of free template updates from year to year that many users ask), this version is almost ridiculous . Nor have they given a facelift to the menus?

The game is on sale for 39.95 euros (official price) as if it were a completely new version and that it offers enough news to have that price starting from last year. Given the seen, wouldn’t it be more fair to launch a downloadable template update at a moderate price? Is it better for the clueless user to drop 40 euros from the wing for a game so similar to the previous one that the menus do not even change?

I understand that Wii is a console with an expiration date, that it faces its last months of life, that the game may not be very sold, that the important versions are the others but hell, if they sell it as a new version, how much less have to wait a series of novelties or special features that justify its price. Don’t you think?

By the way, this happens exclusively with the Wii version. The version of ‘ FIFA 13′ that Xbox 360 and PS3 have received is excellent and presents a considerable handful of new features compared to last year’s version. In fact, we loved it when we got to try it. Have you tried the Wii version?

Thanks to those of you who have notified us.
PS Ojito the screenshots, they have no waste whatsoever.
