Youth rescued from gully in flood

Not only Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia, but also Baden-Württemberg are struggling with the masses of water. A dramatic accident involving a 17-year-old just went well again.

Inzlingen – In the flood disaster, a young person in Baden-Württemberg was sucked into an open gully, according to the fire brigade. This happened on a street flooded by water in Inzlingen in the Lörrach district.

The boy's father and a neighboring firefighter could have held the 17-year-old in the life-threatening situation, said fire brigade commander Thomas Muck. Other forces would have helped to save the teenager.

He suffered a shock, but was released from there after a short stay in the hospital. During the night, the volunteer fire brigade in Inzlingen had 28 missions, reported Muck. dpa
