How will the weather be at Christmas? The meterologists don’t dare to make a prognosis. But in general the temperatures are dropping.
Offenbach – At the start of the Christmas week it will be cooler. The milder sea air is increasingly being replaced by colder mainland air, said the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach.
The meteorologists do not want to venture a forecast for the Christmas days at the end of the week. “The further prospects from Thursday are still provided with considerable uncertainties, so no specific statement can be made about the Christmas weather”, it says in a message.
On Monday, colder air masses would come into the country from the southwest. In the middle and north of the country, the sun can often show itself. In the south there is still fog and high fog. At night, temperatures away from the coasts drop into the light to moderate frost range.
The temperatures rise just above freezing point by Tuesday afternoon. Then the southwest gets more sun, while there are significantly more clouds in the northeast. There could be permafrost in the mountains. According to the DWD, the weather on Wednesday is split in two. In the north clouds, rain, sleet or snow and in the south and parts of the middle dry and partly sunny. On Thursday night, temperatures in the south can drop to minus nine degrees. dpa
