On many occasions we have talked about stories in which reality is stranger than fiction, but few have been as incredible as the one that happened this week in Turkey. The protagonist is Beyhan Mutlu, 50, who joined a search party organized by the emergency services and several neighbors in a forest in the Inegöl district to search for a missing man . Despite their best efforts, the search did not give the expected result for a very simple reason: the person they were looking for was Beyahn Mutlu himself.
But what happened to get to this situation? Beyhan Mutlu and several friends were in the forest drinking, until he got drunk. At one point, his friends lost sight of him and, although they were looking for him for hours, they did not find him . It was then that they decided to go to his house in case he had gone there, but his wife told them that he had not returned.
The man did not answer calls either, so they decided to contact the local authorities and report that a man had disappeared . The emergency services quickly organized a search drive through the forest, which was joined by several neighbors.
At some point in the search, Beyhan Mutlu, who was still drunk, joined the hunt, unaware that the person they were looking for was himself . He noticed when someone started yelling the name of the missing person.
Then, he explained to the authorities that he had joined the raid thinking that who they were looking for was a missing neighbor , but at no time did it cross his mind that they might be looking for him.
Now the question that everyone is asking is how his friends would fare if they also did not see him once Beyhan Mutlu joined the operation . Fortunately, everything was a simple anecdote.
Search and rescue teams in Bursa’s İnegöl district searched for the man who disappeared in the forest together with the missing man.
The truth came out when the missing Beyhan Mutlu (50) heard his name being said out loud and said to the teams, “Who are we looking for, I’m here”. pic.twitter.com/XcgHwDGZpv
