A mother of 11 children shares her day to day on TikTok and her organizing tricks go viral

For many parents, including myself, the arrival of the first child turns your world upside down and it takes time to figure out how to organize with the baby: we sleep little, we rest less and things seem not to be where they are supposed to be. In short: our life becomes “a little bit” chaotic.

I even remember going for a walk with my first daughter in her stroller and saying to myself when meeting parents with twins: “How will you manage if I’m already exhausted?”

And things get even more complicated when the second one arrives, and you have to find a way to dedicate quality time to each one of them without neglecting their care.

So for me the mothers of very large families are true super heroines. This is the case of Verónica, an American mother who is able to organize herself with her 11 children. She herself has created a TikTok account where she explains how she does it and what her tricks are to be able to raise her impressive family.

Color codes, chain lunch …

The mother of this large family is called Victoria, she is 35 years old and became pregnant for the first time at 14. Since then, she has had 11 children: the oldest is 21 years old and the youngest, only 1.

In his videos he presents his story and his large family.

There are only four of us at home and I find it a nightmare to organize each other’s clothes after doing the laundry . How can she do it with so many? Well, he has his trick, as he explains on his TikTok account: he has decided on a color code for the children, and each one usually uses only three. This way you do not confuse the clothes of each one.

At the moment, 10 of her 11 children still live at home, so preparing lunch for them seems like a real assembly line.

Verónica recognizes in her videos that she spends about $ 450 a week (380 euros) in the supermarket, so each month she only spends 1,200 euros on food.

Of course, she is happy with her large family and ensures that she would not change it for anything in the world. You want to continue sharing moments like these with them.

So I sign up for the bill and every time I think I can’t do it anymore or feel overwhelmed, I’ll pull on his tricks … at least to convince myself that it can be done.

Positive Discipline is an educational model that is gaining more and more popularity among families who want to educate their children in a respectful way, without yelling or punishment. There are hundreds of articles on positive parenting that we can find on the Internet and social networks, and some include tips and tools to apply it in our day to day.

There are children who are very sociable and who talk to everyone. Others who do not fear anything, or who are more innocent... which can also lead them to talk to anyone who approaches them.

The FOMO effect (Fear Of Missing Out) is defined as "the fear of missing something". And although it is a concept that has become relevant in recent years, it is nothing new. In the late 1990s, Dr. Dan Herman coined this term.

We live surrounded by technology and it is inevitable that this will be incorporated as one more tool in parenting. In addition to apps that help with things ranging from designing your baby's room to managing the calendar of children with separated parents, devices such as tablets, mobile phones or smart speakers are here to stay. Proof of this is the growing use of Alexa as a timer that children obey without question (or at least without protesting as much as their mother).

"You don't understand me": how to help adolescent children to be less dramatic and...

When they enter the stage of adolescence, there are many boys and girls who can become dramatic in situations that, for parents, do not have the same degree of importance. Thus, in day-to-day situations, they feel that the world is ending, or they live everything with great intensity.
