The alarming amount of plastics ending up in the ocean has its impact on the marine ecosystem.
On the island of Bali, an amateur diver, Rich Horner, has filmed the effects of this problem. Scientists estimate that an average of eight tons of plastic waste ended up in the ocean in 2010, about 3% of the world's total plastic. A figure that, they estimate, will double in 2020.
