Annete: now available the trailer of the last of Adam Drive | Cannes Film Festival 2021

Adam Driver is one of the most versatile and charismatic actors in recent Hollywood. His participation in the recent Star Wars saga earned him international fame, but the truth is that this ex-marine with marked features was already pointing to ways before donning the mask of Kylo Ren. In 2011 he had already been under the command of Clint Eastwood in J. Edgar but it is that only a year later he did the same with Steven Spielberg in the Oscar-winning Lincoln. The two-time Oscar nominee was not carried away by the mastery and box office success of the most commercial directors, but rather combined his career of big premieres with a more intimate cinema such as Jim Jarmush’s Patterson or Noah Baumbach’s Frances Ha . Determined to continue betting on the auteur tapes, now it is his turn to play at the service of the Enfant terrible, Leos Carax. Annete’s film already has its long-awaited trailer that will open the 74th Cannes International Film Festival on July 6. Although there are still a few months to enjoy it in theaters, it does not take away so that the hand of the director of Holy Motors is appreciated in each shot. The emotional intensity of Annete seems to be borne by the absolute presence of Adam Driver that we see in the trailer, however the Californian is not alone on this trip since his wife in fiction is the Oscar-winning and always versatile Marion Cotillard and The Big Bang Theory star Simon Helberg A celebrity couple with a special daughter Leos Carax’s first English-language film tells the story of a marriage of famous artists, Henry (Adam Driver) and his wife, singer Ann (Cotillard) ).They are envied around the world as the perfect media couple, but everything changes with the birth of their daughter Annete, who seems to have a magnificent and premature artistic gift. In case the anticipation of a new Adam Driver movie weren’t enough, the President of the Cannes Film Festival significantly raised the hype by enthusiastically declaring that Leos Carax’s new film meets all expectations. “It is the gift that film, music and culture lovers have been waiting for. A work that we have been waiting for since last year “
