Sydney – Australian police have withdrawn 450 kilograms of heroin from circulation.
The drug with a value of around 90 million euros was hidden in a container with tiles that had been abandoned from Malaysia to Melbourne, the authorities said on Saturday. During the police operation, a man was arrested who is now facing life imprisonment. It is the largest drug discovery by the Australian authorities to date. dpa
