Important movement among those responsible for the industry. Byron Beede joins the Electronic Arts discipline as Executive Vice President and CEO of Battlefield, as reported by IGN.
What’s important about this announcement comes from the fact that Beede has already held the same role for the Call of Duty and Destiny franchises, getting great results . For example, he was part of the team that shaped live services like Call of Duty: Warzone or Call of Duty Mobile.
Obviously, this signing aims to create a forceful response to the Call of Duty saga. The company has defined it as ” a long-term strategic commitment to the growth of the series “, so we hope to have Beede himself present with us for quite some time.
Currently Battlefield 6 is being developed by five internal EA studios, as well as a spin-off for mobile devices , a field in which the American company also wants to compete.
The first preview of the next Battlefield will be on June 9. We do not know if it will reach the consoles of the last generation, but of course it has the objective set on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
