Do Spaniards have trouble brushing their teeth ? This is what, at least, different studies carried out in our country on this subject seem to show. In fact, we learned a while ago that at least 25 percent of those surveyed admitted to brushing their teeth less than twice a day.
A matter of time, perhaps? Without a doubt, since, in reality, it is very rare that we reach the end of the recommended and recommended two minutes of brushing. What’s more, the latest studies show that the average tooth brushing time drops to just 43 seconds .
But what if we really only need to count to ten to brush our teeth? This is what, at least, Y-Brush offers, a French startup that has developed a device in the shape of a ‘Y’ , and that would change the appearance traditionally associated with the conventional toothbrush.
The toothbrush proposed by this company resembles, it is true, a kind of mouth guard, but it is an ergonomic design capable of reaching and including all the teeth at the same time during the brushing procedure .
It is a one hundred percent electric brush, which starts up from the moment we press the button; later, the 35,000-filament nylon , the only effective material to ensure that the different filaments can eliminate bacterial plaque, would allow both teeth and gums to be brushed simultaneously. There is no doubt: simple, efficient and fast!
The Y-Brush brushing principle is based on the technology already found in classic toothbrush models, known as “sonic”, that is, vibration . A process, by the way, that has already been recognized for its efficiency.
In order to adapt brushing to our degree of sensitivity and / or patience, the brush offers a total of three modes: a gentle mode with a duration of 15 seconds, a standard mode that lasts 10 seconds, and an intensive mode that barely it will take 5 seconds for each row of teeth, thus achieving an effective and fast brushing in just 10 seconds.
As we can see in the image, the toothbrush proposed by Y-Brush manages to adapt to all jaws and all teeth , so that children can use it from four years of age , although the brand has also developed a specific model for young children, up to 12 years of age. In short, enough to ensure that everyone, young and old, gets a quality brushing in all cases.
In addition, the results have been clinically validated by different in vitro and in vivo tests, something that undoubtedly should be highlighted. And it is that, as many dentists would affirm , “there is only one teeth” , which, in addition, should last a lifetime …
