CAN invites SMEs to participate in the second edition of its virtual training program

The talks will be given by experts from the Andean Community and will begin from May 27 to December 2.

The General Secretariat of the Andean Community will carry out the second edition of “Exporting SMEs: reactivation against COVID-19”, the virtual training program aimed at micro, small and medium entrepreneurs of the CAN countries: Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. More than 22 thousand people participated in the first edition of this initiative.

“Andean SMEs, which today represent 90% of the companies in the CAN and which generate 60% of employment, play a fundamental role in the integration process due to their drive for economic development and their great contribution to national production” said Jorge Hernando Pedraza, head of the agency.

The secretary general invited SMEs from the four countries to be part of this program, which will include the development of eight talks, which they will be able to access for free through the organization’s virtual platform.

What will the agenda be?

1. On May 27, the first conference will be held: “How to internationalize your company: experiences in the Andean region”.

2. On June 24, the topic will be addressed: “Export Consortia: Opportunities for Andean SMEs”.

3. On July 22: “Access to financing for Andean SMEs: experiences in the CAN”.

4. On August 19: “Opportunities for SMEs in the free zones of the Andean Community”.

5. On September 16: “Trade in services: opportunities and challenges for Andean SMEs”.

6. October 14: “Digital transformation in SMEs”

7. November 11: “Logistics management in SMEs”.

8. On December 2: “Regional value chains: experiences in the Andean Community”.

The talks that will be given by experts from the CAN and from other countries will be held at 3:00 pm (Colombia, Ecuador and Peru) and 4:00 pm (Bolivia). If you are interested, you can register at this link.
