Spring is approaching and brings with it a colorful mixture: it will be sunny, cloudy, rainy and windy. In the next few days, every weather lover will get their money’s worth.
Offenbach – The coming days will bring Germany a colorful and early spring-like mixture of clouds and wind, snow, showers and sun. “There will be something for everyone in the next few days,” said the German Weather Service in Offenbach. The weekend in particular promises partly cloudless skies.
Showers on Thursday
For Thursday, the meteorologists initially expect heavy clouds, only in south-eastern Bavaria will it be sunny until the afternoon. On the North Sea, on the other hand, rain is to be expected early in the morning, spreading south-east to a line Saarland-Harz-Rügen. In the higher elevations of the western low mountain ranges, snow also mixes with the rain.
In the evening, short thunderstorms with snow or sleet are possible, especially on the North Sea. The maximum values are 7 degrees at the sea and 15 degrees at the edge of the Alps. In the east and south there will be a weak to moderate wind, in the west and north moderate to fresh wind with strong gusts, in the mountains and on the North Sea and at times also at low altitudes stormy gusts.

On Friday it will then be variable to heavily cloudy, and numerous snow showers will move in from the north-west over the course of the day, as well as short thunderstorms with sleet locally. In the afternoon only rain showers are expected below 400 meters. The maximum values are between four and nine degrees, there is a moderate to fresh south-west to west wind. Strong to stormy gusts must be expected in the northern half and gusts of wind on the sea and in the mountains.
Saturday begins with a lot of cloudiness and some snow is still falling, especially in the Alps and in the eastern low mountain ranges. It then loosens up as the day progresses.
Later the sky will be partly cloudless with temperatures between two and nine degrees. There is permafrost in the higher elevations. dpa
